After a ten-year career, including seven years at one of the largest brokerage firms in the country, Blake is excited about the opportunity to put his financial expertise to work on behalf of dental professionals. One of the things that attracted Blake to Engage Advisors is the commitment to creating great customer experiences, something he knows a lot about. While at Merrill Lynch, Blake was named Market Leader in client experience scores for two consecutive years, leading to his promotion to Vice President and Team Leader. He’s also proud of his Professional-Top 10% ranking in the nation for his first two years after getting licensed.
The opportunity to build strong client relationships and help people achieve their financial goals is what motivated Blake to become a financial advisor. He helps clients prioritize their goals in order to stay on track for retirement, and he always strives to educate them about their financial options. The trust he’s developed with clients over the years is one of things he enjoys most about his job.
Blake received his bachelor’s degree in General Studies/Health Science from the University of Missouri – Columbia. In addition to passing the certification exams for Series 7 and Series 66, Blake has also been certified as a Chartered Retirement Plan Specialist (CRPS®)
A little-known fact about Blake is that when he was a junior in high school, he played on a competitive soccer team in Amsterdam. Now that he’s married and the proud father of four boys, he shares his love of sports with his sons by coaching their teams. Whether it’s on a basketball court, a trip to the lake, or getting together for barbecue, family time is Blake’s favorite time. Blake gives credit to his own father for teaching him almost everything he knows including how to live with integrity.
